What you need to know about berry picking....
  • We provide picking trays and carriers which hold about 10 pounds or so.
  • You may bring your own containers.  Get them weighed before you pick.
  • Strawberries do not ripen after picking, so the entire berry needs to be RED
  • Try to keep the green top in tact as the berry will last longer.
  • Be prepared to work on your knees to find all the berries under the leaves.
  • Berries grow in full sun, so bring a sun hat, water bottle, and sun screen.
  • In the morning after the dew is gone is a great time to pick.

Are there any rules?
  • Kids Rule!  So bring the whole family.
  • Dogs will be asked to nap in the car.
  • Tasting the berries is OK.
  • Running through the berries squishes the fruit, so please resist the urge.
  • Cash or check ONLY.
Now what do I do with all these berries?
  • Refrigerate your strawberries ASAP.
  • Cover an open container with wax paper.
  • Wash and clean berries right before using.
  • Enjoy berries all year by making sauce, jam, or by freezing.
  • Save the picking tray by wiping it out with a damp paper towel.
  • Re-use your picking tray and receive 50 cents off your next purchase!
